Why do car shock absorber need to be maintained?
Because the car often drives on unstable roads,the shock absorber
will stretch at a high frequence,and the oil temperature of the
shock absorber will increase,which will easily cause the shock
absorber to be damaged.
If the oil gasket of the shock absorber, the gasket is damaged, the
oil reservoir cap nut is loose, or if there is a collision between
the shock absorber and the leaf spring, the frame, or if there is
oil leakage, it will be dangerous. So we have to check and maintain
the shock absorber regularly.
What are the symptoms of a broken car shock absorber?
1. Stop the car after driving for 10 kilometers on the road with
poor road conditions, and touch the shock absorber shell with your
hand. If it is not hot enough, it means that there is no resistance
inside the shock absorber, and the shock absorber does not work.
2. Press the bumper hard and release it, if the car jumps no more
than once or twice, the shock absorber is working well. If you keep
nodding your head up and down and it looks elastic, it's broken.
3. When the car runs slowly and brakes urgently, if the car
vibrates violently, it means that there is a problem with the shock
absorber.
4. Remove the shock absorber and stand it upright, and clamp the
lower end connecting ring on the vise, and pull and press the shock
absorber rod several times. At this time, there should be stable
resistance. The resistance of pulling up and restoring should be
greater than that of pressing down. If the resistance is unstable
or there is no resistance, it may be due to lack of oil inside the
shock absorber or damage to the valve parts, which should be
repaired or replaced.
